Jim has spent over 30 years working with plants in Nottingham advising customers on all aspects of gardening, particularly, layout, planting, pruning, pests, problem solving and guiding novice and experienced gardeners alike towards a more sustainable, eco-friendly and wildlife protected garden environment.
In 2024 and 2025 he was delighted to be asked to support Blue Diamond's award winning RHS Chelsea Flower Show gardens:
The Octavia Hill Garden by Blue Diamond with the National Trust, designed by the award‑winning Ann-Marie Powell. and the Gold Award for the Immersive Garden in the Grand Pavilion by Blue Diamond.
He retired from Blue Diamond Garden & Home centre in East Bridgford at the end of 2025. But Jim's not ready to hang up his secateur's just yet!
Because the most enjoyable aspect of his career has always been about meeting and advising people, Jim hopes to continue to share his knowledge by developing this consultancy business to new and old clients who share his gardening passion.
Listening to your gardens problems, plans and ideas and coming up with workable and affordable solutions so he can direct you to making the correct choices, without any costly errors.
Jim offers a range of consultation options, and meetings can be arranged to discuss any aspect of gardening, plants or other areas…..the time spent with him is entirely yours to choose, and can be used as you want.
